Vizor Wallet Privacy Policy
Vizor Wallet is a self-custody Zcash wallet provided by Space Explorers Inc. We do not operate a hosted wallet account system, we do not custody your funds, and we do not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs in the app.
Your wallet data is stored locally on your device. When you use Vizor, the app may communicate with Zcash network services, lightwalletd endpoints, and other services you choose to use, and those services may receive network metadata as described below.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how Space Explorers Inc. ("Space Explorers", "we", "our", or "us") handles information in connection with Vizor and Vizor Wallet (the "App"). If you have questions, contact us at contact@keplr.app.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to the App and any website or store listing where it is posted or linked. It does not apply to third-party websites, blockchains, wallet devices, node operators, lightwalletd endpoint operators, app stores, or other services that we do not control.
3. Information we do not collect
Vizor does not require you to create a server-side account with us. We do not collect login credentials, names, postal addresses, phone numbers, advertising identifiers, or precise location from the App. We do not use in-app analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.
We do not receive or store your secret recovery phrase, private keys, local app password, wallet database, address book entries, balances, or transaction history unless you voluntarily provide information to us, for example when contacting support.
4. Information stored locally on your device
Vizor stores wallet-related information on your device so the App can operate. Depending on how you use the App, this may include:
- secret recovery phrase or wallet key material;
- account metadata, account names, addresses, and wallet settings;
- local wallet database, balances, transaction history, and memos;
- app password state and session state;
- network selection and lightwalletd endpoint preferences;
- Keystone hardware wallet account data and QR signing payloads; and
- contacts or address book entries you add inside the App.
This information is intended to stay on your device. Space Explorers cannot recover your wallet, password, funds, or secret recovery phrase if you lose them.
5. Zcash network and lightwalletd endpoints
Vizor uses the Zcash network and lightwalletd endpoints to sync wallet data, obtain blockchain information, and broadcast transactions. You may use preset endpoints or configure a custom endpoint.
Endpoint operators and network infrastructure providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, request timing, endpoint requests, blockchain data requested by the App, and transaction broadcast data. If you choose a custom endpoint, that endpoint's operator controls its own logging and privacy practices.
Zcash transparent addresses and transparent transactions are public on chain. Shielded Zcash transaction details are protected by the Zcash protocol, but use of shielded transactions does not prevent all network metadata from being visible to network service providers.
6. Camera, QR codes, and Keystone
Vizor may request camera access to scan QR codes, including Keystone hardware wallet QR codes and payment addresses. Camera frames are processed for scanning on your device and are not sent to Space Explorers.
QR codes may contain wallet addresses, Keystone account information, or signing payloads. Vizor processes that data to provide the wallet features you request.
7. Background sync, notifications, and Live Activities
Vizor may use background processing, foreground service notifications, local notifications, or Live Activities to continue wallet sync, update sync progress, or show transaction status. These features are used to operate the App on your device and do not create a server-side account with Space Explorers.
8. Information you provide to us
If you contact us for support, bug reports, or feedback, we may receive your email address and any information you choose to include. Please do not send us your secret recovery phrase, private keys, passwords, or other sensitive wallet secrets.
9. How we use information
We use information only as needed to:
- provide and maintain the App;
- sync your wallet and broadcast transactions at your request;
- process QR codes and hardware wallet workflows;
- respond to support requests or feedback you send us;
- protect the App, users, and our rights; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
10. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may share information only if you ask us to, if it is necessary to provide support or operate services we control, if required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
The App may interact with third-party services such as app stores, Zcash network infrastructure, lightwalletd endpoint operators, block explorers, hardware wallet vendors, or websites you open from the App. Those third parties process information under their own policies.
11. Security
We design Vizor to keep wallet secrets on your device and to use platform security features where appropriate. However, no device, application, network, or storage method is perfectly secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your device, local password, and secret recovery phrase.
12. Retention
Local wallet data remains on your device until you delete it, reset the wallet, uninstall the App, or your operating system removes it. Some secure storage data may persist according to platform behavior unless removed by the App or the operating system.
Blockchain data is maintained by the Zcash network and cannot be deleted by Space Explorers. Endpoint logs, app store records, and third-party service records are controlled by the relevant third party. Support emails may be retained as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you, maintain business records, and comply with legal obligations.
13. Children
Vizor is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.
14. Your choices and rights
You can stop using the App at any time. You can reset the wallet or remove local App data using App features or your operating system. You can change camera, notification, and background permissions in your device settings.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection regarding personal information we control. To make a request, contact us at contact@keplr.app. We may need information to verify your request.
15. International users
If you contact us or use services available outside your country, information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have data protection laws that differ from your local laws.
16. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. The updated Policy will apply when posted unless otherwise stated.
